Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Nursing in Germany processes information when you read the website, contact us, purchase membership, use your account or submit course work.

2. Hosting and website security

The website is hosted using Hostinger services. Hosting infrastructure processes connection and request information, such as IP address, request time, requested page, browser information and technical errors, to deliver the website, prevent misuse and investigate faults. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Technical data is kept only for the operating and security purposes for which it is needed, except where a specific incident requires longer preservation.

3. Accounts and membership

WordPress and Simple Membership process account and profile details, login information, membership status and subscription references. Course features also store your progress, submitted tasks and review feedback. Processing is necessary to provide the membership contract and respond to steps you request before purchasing, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Necessary records may also be processed to meet legal obligations under Article 6(1)(c).

Providing the account and payment information required at registration and checkout is necessary to set up paid access. Optional profile information and optional course evidence are not required simply to read public guides.

4. Payments through Stripe

Stripe processes payment details through its checkout. We receive the payment and subscription information needed to identify your membership, confirm payment, manage access, handle cancellations and keep accounting records. Do not send card details to us by email or in course submissions.

The legal bases are performance of the membership contract, Article 6(1)(b), and applicable legal record-keeping duties, Article 6(1)(c). Stripe may also process information for its own fraud-prevention and regulatory purposes. See Stripe’s privacy policy for its entities, processing and transfer safeguards.

5. Private course submissions and discussions

Course submissions and review feedback are stored for the guided membership and accessed by authorised reviewers and site administrators. They are not automatically posted in the community. Discussion posts, your displayed name and their content are visible to people who can access the discussion space.

Submit a short summary wherever possible. Remove other people’s names and contact details. Do not upload full passports, bank statements, medical records, passwords or unnecessary sensitive information. Our course does not require health information or full identity-document copies.

6. Email, contact and contract requests

If you contact us or send a cancellation, withdrawal or privacy request, we process your name, email, message, references and any supporting information needed to respond. Operational emails use the site’s hosting and email services. The basis is Article 6(1)(b) for contractual enquiries and Article 6(1)(c) for statutory requests; other enquiries are handled under Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in responding to relevant correspondence.

Hostinger Reach is installed for email-related features. Any newsletter or marketing subscription is separate from membership service messages and requires the applicable consent or other lawful basis. You can unsubscribe from marketing using the link in the message or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not cancel a paid membership.

6a. Online cancellation form and contact form

When you use our cancellation page (Verträge hier kündigen), we process your name, membership email, confirmation email, the contract, the type and requested end of the cancellation, an optional reference and reason, the date and time of submission and a shortened hash of your IP address. We use this to carry out and confirm your cancellation and to prove that we received it (Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR in conjunction with § 312k BGB). The confirmation is sent by email through our hosting and email provider (Hostinger), and we look up your subscription in Stripe to end it. When you use the contact form, we process your name, email and message to reply (Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). We keep cancellation records for three years after the end of the year of cancellation, and longer only where statutory retention duties apply.

7. Cookies, Google tools and embedded content

Necessary cookies and similar storage support login, security and account preferences. Google tag and Site Kit components are integrated for Google measurement and site-service connections. Depending on the enabled Google service and your choices, information may include usage events, device/browser information, page visits, identifiers and connection data. Google may process information outside the EEA. See Google’s privacy policy for details.

Where optional analytics, advertising or similar access to your device requires consent, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR together with the applicable device-storage rules. Essential processing uses the bases described above. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Browser cookie controls can remove stored cookies but do not cancel membership. External videos or other embedded material, if opened, may also transmit information to their providers.

8. Recipients and transfers

Information is accessed by authorised administrators and reviewers and by the hosting, email, payment and enabled Google-service providers needed for the purposes above. Authorities or professional advisers may receive information where legally required or necessary for a legitimate claim. We do not sell course submissions to recruiters or employers.

Where a provider processes personal data outside the EEA, the relevant lawful transfer mechanism and safeguards must apply, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. Provider privacy information explains their applicable arrangements. You may request information about safeguards relevant to your data.

9. Retention

Account and course information is retained while needed to provide access, review work, resolve account issues and establish, exercise or defend legitimate claims. After the purpose ends, it is deleted or anonymised unless a legal retention obligation or a documented claim requires preservation. Payment, tax and business correspondence records are kept for the applicable statutory accounting and tax retention periods. Backup copies are removed through the hosting backup lifecycle rather than immediately from each backup.

10. Your rights

Subject to the applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, particularly where your circumstances justify it, and object to direct marketing at any time. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need proportionate identity verification before disclosing or deleting account information.

Send requests to info@nursingingermany.com. You may complain to a competent data-protection supervisory authority. For the operator’s location, this includes the Independent Data Protection Centre Saarland; you can also contact the authority competent for your habitual residence or workplace.

11. Automated decisions and children

Private progress reviews are performed by reviewers. The website’s stage-unlock controls implement membership and review status; they do not decide recruitment, admission or visa outcomes. This service is aimed at adults preparing for vocational training.
